The Fruit of Joy – Part 2
Foundational Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
I. Joy, Trials and Coming Out
Psalm 105:37-43
Psalms 105:37 He brought them forth also with silver and
gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. 105:38
a. None Feeble
The Hebrew word translated “feeble” here is kashal (Kaw-shal’) which means “to stumble, to stagger, to totter, to be made weak or to bring injury.” When God brings His people out of a trial or bondage, He does not allow them to be injured, to stumble, stagger or totter. He heals and restores as He brings them out!
b. He Brings Them Out With JOY
Jo is a major factor in coming out of a trail with God. How can this be? Here is a major principle of trials in life for the Christian:
THE PRINCIPLE OF TRIALS FOR CHRISTIANS
The MOMENT Satan begins to bring trail into your life, God has already prepared a way out!
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
The Christian can have joy because he knows that Satan cannot out do God. That God has already had the end of the trial established before Satan even began to plan the trial.
c. Three Ways Trials Come Into Our Lives
We need to understand that there are only three ways trials and temptations come into our lives:
1. Direct attack by Satan to stop what God is doing in our lives.
2. A generational door is open to Satan to have access to our lives. The harder we try to serve God, the harder Satan hits. [ Note: direct attack is for a shorter season. Attack through open doors are greater in power and will continue until the door is closed.]
3. Reaping what we are sown.
Jesus is the Answer to ALL Three!
1. In a direct attack continue to stand on the truth that Satan is trying to attack. The Word will produce in your life and you will get the victory.
2. In regard to generational doorways, we have not been taught to answer forgiveness of generational sins at salvation. Therefore since we do not ask, they remain in our lives. Such is the case of Simon in Sameria (Act 8:18-24) was told by the Apostle Paul that he still had an open door through iniquity that needed to be dealt with. Most generational doors will need specific repentance of it for the door to be closed.
3. In regard to reaping what we have sown, we can repent, ask God to kill the bad crop and begin with earnest sowing good seed through obedience to God’s Word.
d. We Come Out with Gold and Silver
The Word tells us in Psalms that when God brings us out of bondages and trials, that we come out with gold and silver. We come out with greater anointing, greater insights to life and words of freedom and deliverance.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love
God, to those who are called according to [His] purpose. Romans 8:28
The Christian can have joy in the midst of any trial because God has already prepared the way out and the Christian will walk out of the other end of the trial with great spiritual riches.
